The PEN Story

Nachdem 60.000 Bilder geschossen wurden, wurde 9.600 Bilder entwickelt und dann davon 1.800 nochmal fotografiert. Es wird behauptet, dass keine post-Produktion gemacht wurde.

Anlass ist der 50te Geburtstag der PEN-Kamera. Viele Microsites machten die Kampagne 2009 in jedem Land bekannt und damit viral. Die PEN-Story brachte die Stop-Motion-Technik einen Schritt nach vorne. Außerdem gab es zu dieser Aktion die Möglichkeit der LIVE EXPERIENCE, wo Nutzer die Kamera für eine Woche testen konnten und deren Erfahrungen mit anderen teilen.

The PEN Story Giant

Womöglich noch aufwändiger ist der 1 Jahr danach entstandene Stop-Motion Film PEN Giant. Hier wurden 355 Bilder geschossen, auf Plakatgröße ausgeruckt und nochmals abfotografiert. Und wieder soll es keine post Produktion gegeben haben.

Der neue Slogan “Nie war es eifacher, großartige Bilder zu machen”.

The Whopper freakout

Die etwas ältere Kampagne “The Whopper freakout” gewann 2009 den Grand Effie Award.

Burger King entfernte ihr meist geliebtes Produkt, den Whopper und platzierte versteckte Kameras in ihren Läden. Das Video verbreitete sich rasend schnell, vorallem in Amerika. Die aufgestellte Microsite wurde im ganzen Dezember 2008 häufiger besucht als die Homepage von Hillary Clinton, die damals zur Präsidentschaftswahl für ihre Partei kandidierte.

Christophorus der Schutzpatron der Reisenden

Hier mal ein Negativ Beispiel für eine virale Kampagne die irgendwie nicht so gut funktioniert.

Seit einigen Tagen hängen in Berlin überall Plakate mit Fahrradfahrern drauf, die komische Dosen in der Hand halten. Der Senat und das Bundesverkehrsministerium Berlin hat  eine neue Kampagne für mehr Rücksichtnahme im Straßenverkehr gestartet und im Zentrum der Kampagne steht eine blaue Dose die symbolisch für die Rücksichtnahme stehen soll. Beworben wird das ganze mit Hilfe eines Videos, in welchem “Christophorus” der Schutzpatron der Reisenden einen Imagepush bekommt.

INTERN PRESS AND COMMUNICATIONS COMEDY CENTRAL NORTH

Over the last four years, Comedy Central has grown into a popular media brand with the focus on comedy entertainment. Within the MTV Networks concern, Comedy Central is the only channel targeted solely at an adult target audience with 100% comedy. The headquarters of Comedy Central Northern Europe (now active in Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Austria and Switzerland) is based in Amsterdam. Next to the different Comedy Central TV Channels, the network also manages the dedicated Comedy Central websites in the North countries.

For our headquarters we are looking for a proactive, hardworking and eager to learn press and communication intern, who will help support our constant presents in the media and who will be an important link in the press and communications strategy for all North countries.

Candidates must be available to work for a period of at least 5 months.

Internship duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist Press and Communication team
• Cover events, press days, screenings, etc.
• Pitch/follow-up with media
• Organize/manage important documents and shipping
• Maintain/update databases
• Respond to media requests
• Proofread various documents and assemble publicity reports
• Provide administrative support such as data entry, photocopying, and phones
• Perform errands as needed
Other responsibilities:
• Participate in brainstorms
• Aid in printing and assembling presentations

This position will be within the press and communications team and you will help with all communication efforts. However you can look forward to the opportunity of being exposed to all aspects of the business. Close collaboration with other teams is required.

Profile:

• You should possess excellent writing and communications skills, be detail oriented, organized, personable and be able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• You must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel), as well as be Social Networking/Internet savvy

• Sense of humor!

• Proactive and hands-on personality

• Affinity with comedy

Desired Qualifications:

We are looking for currently enrolled students majoring in communications, public relations or journalism. Candidates must have excellent writing and strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task. Bi-lingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to those with previous PR experience.

For our headquarters we are looking for an interactive genius, who will help support our constant growth on our websites and social media platforms and who will be an important link in the digital strategy for all North countries. Is digital the only way of life for you and are you always aware of the latest interactive media developments? Are you fluent in German or English or both? And are you that hands-on-comedy-loving person that will be part of our Interactive and Social Media team? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for. • Execute on digital and social media marketing strategies

You know how to work with websites and web analytics. Proficiency with photoshop and HTML coding skills are a must.
