01.13.12BTK :: 3D-Lab at CeBIT 2012The largest trade fair of the digital world's mainstay markets by far, CeBIT, will be held in Hannover from 6th to 10th of March, 2012. Like last year, the BTK :: 3D-Lab again will represent our school inside the special interest area Next Level 3D. 10.31.11Stereoscopic 3D Content For The PS3 ConsoleBy the end of November, all PlayStation 3 users – among them we at BTK :: 3D-Lab – will be able to play 51 game titles in stereoscopic 3D mode with 48 titles supporting stereo 3D gameplay already available at this very moment: People at 3D Vision Blog published a list of the still growing 3D titles in both, the game and the video section. 10.17.113D Could Become as Normal as ColourDuring MIPCOM, renowned director Paul Verhoeven shared his thoughts about 3D movie making in an exclusive interview with 3D Focus TV. He seems to be optimistic about the future of the 3D cinema. However, he also warned against pushing 3D to the extreme and suggested 3D could be used in a less obvious way: "There is another way of looking at it but it has not been done yet so much". Verhoeven continued, if done "in the right way ... at a certain moment it could be as normal as colour."

09.03.11Sony Announces 3D Monitor for PS3Following the announcement that PS3 already boasts over 100 3D games, Sony is going to release a new PlayStation branded 3D monitor with (active shutter) glasses later this year. The 24" display will allow two players to view separate screens, which means no more split-screen multiplayer gaming. – Though we at BTK / 3D-Lab only own our LG 47″ 3D screen with – passive – polarized glasses, we'll start with 3D Movies and Games very soon, as well.
