More or less similarly to LG, Amazon's device is supposed to use retina-tracking technology to make images appear to be hovering above the surface of the screen from all angles, without requiring special glasses. 04.18.133DCI for 3DIC: ExcursionAll participants of both the CI course held by Volker Pook as well as the corresponding 3D course by me are going to visit the 3D Innovation Center at next Tuesday, April 23rd. We'll meet in the building's foyer, ground floor, at 9:00 a.m., sharp: 3D Innovation Center Salzufer 6 10587 Berlin Attention: the entrance is to be found in Otto-Dibelius-Strasse, left side standing in front of the building! Due to this excursion both courses are held together on that day; that means, next 3D course will be on Tuesday, April 30th (not Thursday, 25th!).

02.12.13Jean-Luc Godard, Peter Greenaway, and Edgar Pera are Going 3DRodrigo Areias, Fundaçao Cidade de Guimaraes, Portugal, will produce an innovative stereoscopic 3D feature film made of three humoristic short movies. Actually in post production, the movie is supposed to be ready for Cannes Festival in May: The Three Disasters by Jean-Luc Godard, a short film about the historical memory of the 3D. 10.20.09Toy Story 3D Double FeatureThe return of Disney Pixar’s TOY STORY and TOY STORY 2 – with a complete digital 3D makeover – to the big screen at this year’s Venice Film Festival kicked off a Disney Digital 3D Toy Story celebration, which culminates in a brand new adventure: TOY STORY 3 – in German theaters September 20, 2010. 1 ticket, 2 movies, 3 dimensions – as they say: While the first and second part have been converted to stereoscopic 3D afterwards, the third part was originally produced in stereoscopic 3D right from the beginning.

10.12.093D Notebook coming October 2009October 2009 will be seeing the launch of a new Acer Aspire 3D Notebook. It is expected to have software that will support 3D movies. Moreover, there is supposed to be a feature that will even convert 2D movies to 3D, too. All this can be watched on the 15.6” screen of this mobile computer. With this initial version of this notebook stereoscopic glasses are required for 3D viewing, however, a more advanced version without 3D glasses is already in progress. – More details regarding this new 3D notebook is still awaited.
